Well, after a long absence I've finally come back. Last night I decided to look at DAPrints a bit since that wasn't here the last time I was on. I quickly stumbled across some amazing paintings by jasinski and that got me hooked, so I spent a while browsing through his art. I noticed a photo by riotstar in jasinski's favs, so I started browsing her stuff and found this photo. I know riotstar isn't very happy with it, but I found those bright blue eyes extremely captivating, and for some reason in that picture sanna looked to me a bit like an anime character (like Rei from Evangelion or something), so I thought it'd be cool if I could do an anime-styled sketch of her.

So that's how my latest submission started out, though it doesn't really look very anime now. I just started sketching and that's how it turned out. Oh well, I still think it's decent. Like I say in my description, I'm hoping to color it soon since the color is what made the photo so stunning. Hopefully I'll have that done within a week or so, depends how much other stuff I have to do.

Anyways, it feels good to be back, I haven't really done anything artistic in a while. Maybe I'll try to post some of my old stuff from years ago up here too, if I can find it.
